'Was God Hanuman Deaf?' Old Tweet Of Adipurush Director Om Raut Goes Viral! Netizens Do Not seem To Be In Mood To Spare Him: ‘Going To File An FIR Against @Omraut’
Adipurush and its makers appear to have been caught in a storm following the release of the modern-day epic saga. While the film has gained a lot of traction for its irrelevancy and cringe dialogues, its director Om Raut has yet again landed himself on the receiving end for her old tweet in which he allegedly mocked Lord Hanuman and fans do not show any signs of cooling down.

Well, it’s safe to say ‘The Internet never forgets’! Amid the rising hatred against his film Adipurush, a few managed to dig out Om Raut’s old tweets from 2015 and things do not seem to be working in his favour.

In the old tweet, he wrote, "Was God Hanuman Deaf? People around my building think so. Playing loud music like “really loud” on Hanuman Jayanti. Plus all irrelevant songs".

The old tweet instantly grabbed headlines and one user reacted to the same and wrote, "How can we expect people who have such views on Hindu gods to make a Good film on Ramayana? Adipurush is a clear conspiracy of Bollywood to distort our history & detach the young generation from their roots."

In another tweet, he compared the collections of Nagraj Manjule's Sairat with that of SRK's Fan and wrote, "#Sairat box office declared at 80cr. Crosses #SRK starrer #FAN Now that's what I call #Zingat #सैराट #झिंगाट".

Meanwhile, a slew of makers and actors have defended the film and issued their take on the dialogues and other aspects of Adipurush. The writer of the film Manoj Muntashir has defended Lord Hanuman's 'Jalegi Bhi Tere Baap Ki' dialogue saying that it was intentional.

"I come from a small village where our grandmothers used to tell us stories from Ramayan in this language. One more thing, the dialogue that you just mentioned, has been used by the greatest saints, and storytellers in our country in the same manner as I have written it (in Adipurush). I am not the first one to write this dialogue, it is already there."
